چکیده
Abstract This study investigates the shrinkage of two sustainable aluminosilicate blends with fly ash or limestone-calcined clay (LC3). Paste and concrete were prepared using these SCMs for highest possible replacement binder without compromising strength. The chemical autogenous assessed paste samples further investigation conducted on hydration by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Opting an engineering approach, comparison among different segments i.e., autogenous, drying total having a specific compressive strength considered. initial highlighted dissimilarities in calcined clay. LC3 hydrated faster compared to leading greater shrinkage. high blend was compensated low Considering level cement, shrinkage, ecological impact, proved be more eco-friendly ash.

This paper presents the experimental results of the investigation of various properties related to the durability and longterm performance of mortars made of Fly Ash blended cement, FA and Ordinary Portland cement, OPC. The properties that were investigated in an experimental program include; equilibration of specimen in different relative humidity, determination of total porosity, compressive ...
متن کاملCorrosion Resistance Performance of Fly Ash Blended Cement Concretes
Durability of reinforced concrete with respect to corrosion of reinforcement is one of the major aspects to be considered in the management of civil infrastructure systems. An accelerated laboratory test method developed at SERC where the concrete specimen containing rebar is subjected to polarization under a constant voltage in a sodium chloride solution. It is found that the current response ...

This paper presents the effect of Hydrochloric acid (HCl) on Blended Cement (Fly ash based(BC)) and Silica Fume Blended Cement(SFBC) and their concretes. The BC and SFBC and their concretes BCC and SFBCC produced with HCl dosage of 100, 150, 300, 500 and 900 mg/l added in deionised water. In addition to this control specimens were prepared with deionised water (without HCl) for comparison. The ...
متن کاملHydration Characteristics of Low-Heat Cement Substituted by Fly Ash and Limestone Powder
This study proposed a new binder as an alternative to conventional cement to reduce the heat of hydration in mass concrete elements. As a main cementitious material, low-heat cement (LHC) was considered, and then fly ash (FA), modified FA (MFA) by vibrator mill, and limestone powder (LP) were used as a partial replacement of LHC. The addition of FA delayed the induction period at the hydration ...
